What Does it Mean to be Halal Certified?
A Halal certified product means that the product is permissible or acceptable in accordance with Islamic law. In order for products to receive this certification, they must be from an acceptable source and prepared in accordance with the law. Offering Halal certified products allows our Muslim consumers to be confident that the products they use are in alignment with their culture and beliefs.
What Does it Mean to be Certified Kosher Pareve?
Being certified Kosher allows our shoppers to know that we comply with a strict policy of kosher food laws, including cleanliness, purity and quality.
But kosher means more than responsible food preparation. Kosher refers to a set of intricate biblical laws that detail the types of food that a Jewish person may eat and the ways in which it may be prepared.
To be certified Kosher, all ingredients in every product—and the process of preparing the product—must be certified for orthodox kosher-compliance too.
